Projects / Development

Public Private Partnerships within the NHS and social care sectors have evolved as a key procurement route for the provision of public infrastructure since proposed by HM Government in 1992.  The staff at AMP were one of the first supply chain promoters in this market.  Now AMP provide a range of development services to two PPP companies namely Medway LIFTCo and Redbridge & Waltham Forest LIFTCo.  LIFT stands for Local Improvement Finance Trust (see the Community Health Partnerships website for further information about LIFT).

This has culminated in the development of over thirty new and refurbished buildings totalling in excess of 100,000m² GIFA.

AMP employ qualified professionals with many years experience. Their involvement with the development of new buildings includes the following functions;

  • Land sourcing and acquisitions
  • Strategic planning and design development, working with designers and user groups.
  • Alternative and joint developments
  • Detailed design development
  • Funding and liaison with investors and due diligence teams
  • Legal documentation managing legal teams
  • Supply chain procurement
  • Development phase project management
  • Commissioning and handover

Public sector users are encouraged to consider the most effective use of their infrastructure and the need to replace old and unsuitable buildings with new facilities.  This will underpin their desire to provide more cost effective and appropriate services to the public. AMP have the expertise to work along side commissioners and providers to appraise estate need against service plans and alleviate the risks in the delivery and ownership of the infrastructure.
